Shutters & Installation

• This warranty covers the shutters themselves and their installation.
• Southern Shutters guarantees the quality of our workmanship and the materials. Inspections must unearth a true factory defect. Misuse or Acts of God are not covered under our warranty.
• During the installation, we will always ensure that the panels can open and close properly without any damage or interference. Additionally, the installer will make sure that the shutter louvers function without interference as well.
• Any adjustments that become necessary due to the house shifting over time are not covered by the warranty.
• Southern Shutters does not guarantee louver straightness for panels that are over 48 inches wide.

Custom Finishes

• We guarantee that your custom finish will last for the lifespan of your shutters.
• Southern Shutters will use any brand and formula of paint/stain that is chosen by the customer. This provides peace of mind from your quality paint manufacturer’s warranty.
• Routine fading or general abuse are not covered by our warranty.

Care & Maintenance

To ensure a lasting, high-quality finish over the years, please follow these maintenance tips:

• Dust frequently. We recommend using a lamb’s wool duster.
• Provide occasional cleanings with a damp cloth or sponge. Make sure to dry thoroughly as well.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS WARRANTY IS TRANSFERRABLE FOR RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS ONLY.

This warranty covers all products fabricated and installed by Southern Shutters

Products installed by Southern Shutters. are warrantied to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten years where these products were installed. If an examination of the product by a Southern Shutters employee determines the product to be defective, then we will repair or replace the product at our discretion. A copy of the original sales receipt must accompany the product.

Please note that manufacturer’s recommendations must be followed for certain large sizes that require multiple shades on a headrail to be warrantied. Grain patterns and slight warpage may occur and are considered acceptable. Slight variations in colors and pigments are also characteristics of our products resulting in variances from lot to lot, sampling, of previous purchases. These aspects are normal attributes of our products and as such are not covered under the warranty.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or any damage or loss caused by misuse or abuse, or use for which the product was not designed or intended as determined by Southern Shutters. Examples of normal wear-and-tear items not covered under this warranty include the following:

• All materials can lose original intensity after prolonged exposure to the sun.
• PVC and plastics tend to discolor and/or crack after extended exposure to direct sunlight.
• Cords will wear out after a period of time.

Discontinued products are specifically excluded from warranty coverage. The warranty also does not apply to any damage from fire, flood, or any other acts of God.

Repair or replacement of the defective product is the sole remedy under this warranty. The warranty will be in effect for products installed according to specifications and in a climate-controlled environment. In order for this warranty to remain in effect, Southern Shutters or its authorized agents must perform all services. To obtain service, contact us.
